Disappointed

I played this game avidly for two and a half years. It was, at the time, a real challenge. It was also one that you could play for free, or use real money to purchase items that would strengthen your Kingdom. And I found it engrossing.
However, the game has since evolved, to the point where some people spend hundreds of dollars (if not thousands) to remain at the top of the game.
It is still a game which can be enjoyed for free, but new players will find the top ranks dominated by old hands.
The recent update to the game reinforces this advantage.
